Despite numerous attempts to break free from Vincent's grasp, he always managed to find them and drag them back into his treacherous world. But this time, with the help of one of Vincent's men named Trance, Nikki was able to devise a plan to escape. Together with her children, they fled to a small town known as Cougarville.
After years of torment at the hands of Vincent, Nikki and her children finally found solace in their new home. They settled into a cozy house on the outskirts of Cougarville where they could bask in the tranquility of rural life. The kids were overjoyed at the prospect of starting fresh with new friends and endless possibilities. However, despite their initial excitement, Falcon could not shake off his unease at seeing a sudden transformation in Nikki. To her children she seemed to be strong and willful in spite of the torment Vincent put them through, but now she seemed submissive. Her wardrobe became more revealing, and she started dating Trance, who was Falcon's own age and the man who helped them escape from Vincent. Falcon could not help but feel that something was not quite right about Trance.
