Attention anyone who was experiencing a weird crash-on-save that they couldn't progress past! I have now fixed the bug that was likely to be causing it! Until now, buying out all items in a specific slot in any of the clothing stores would cause a crash on save, but no longer! Also, we gave the clerk in the Candle Wax Club a dialogue portrait and a name this month, in an affort to bring them into the game more in the future They are a femboy named Misha and they love to lend a hand to anyone exploring their kinks. Visit the Candle Wax Club for the next miniscene in Berly's little bimbofication arc. Spelling fixing for some interactions in the Candle Wax Club.

A background art has been changed for continuity in Heather scenes.

Background art of a "Free Use Friday" sign added the the Candle Wax Club, which appears only on Free-Use-Fridays.
And finally:
- Two new miniscenes have been added the the Candle Wax Club. Both are part of the Free-Use-Friday theme and include animations.
Its possible that if you've already done a bunch of Free-Use-Friday interactions that one of the two new miniscenes will be inaccessible. If you suspect that's the case, you can enter this cheat code in HCs room terminal to reset the Free-Use-Friday tracking variable: "fuf_forever"

This update is mostly spelling corrections, fixes to sub-pixel misalignment in some small world details, and some small background animations being restored (such as the neon signs outside and inside the Lemon flickering.)
There is also a really small content addition to the Rust Pup headquarters. If you've played Jemma 3 in which the head of the Rust Pups has introduced himself by name, you will get access to two new small interactions on certain days in the headquarters (located next to the library). They're only a few lines, but they include new art. Enjoy!
Note: I didn't work on the controller issue, but I plan on addressing it soon.

And. We may have solved the audio problem but I'm not sure. If someone who has the audio problem can let me know if it sounds any different, or equally as important, if it Doesnt, that would be dope. Enjoy the build!

Here's what we've got for the 1.04 update:
I added an option that will appear when you launch the game on windows . It will allow you to use OpenGL instead of vulcan and your rendering driver. If you've been experiencing those weird missing background arts, try the OpenGL option. Otherwise, proceed with the default.
The OpenGL mode messed up one of the shaders in the game, but I added a thing that should disable that shader if you're using OpenGL. If anyone sees anything they suspect is a visual glitches on OpenGL mode, lemme know.
We also have some other simpler changes:
Slight update to the background art in the hover cafe.
Drink-making guide added the the hover cafe, appears After cafe tutorial is completed.
Fixed invisible back button in Sal's room.
Heather 13 is no longer flagged as explicit.
Heather 6 no longer displays incorrect background at the end of the scene.
and finally:
I think I may have improved load times when entering Skipnoise Ave, but I'm not completely sure.

Fixed some settings menu behavior. Now if you're in controller mode and the menu detects mouse movement, it will show the mouse. Useful because some people seem to be automatically entering controller mode, which disables camera movement without a keyboard or controller. Also fixed a soft lock condition when the settings menu is exiting in the main menu while in controller mode. Also, the pan speed slider now actually does something.
We also did some spelling fixes and corrected a half-pixel incorrect positioning of neck-slot items in the dress up system.

Ok here's what we've got. Fixed a bug where the art was missing from the EM Driver scene in HC's appartment.
But more importantly:
I changed it so that the windows version of Hardcoded is no longer a PCK embedded exe. It is now an exe with a separate PCK. I'm hoping that this will solve the problem of the game not launching for some people on windows. If not, I will figure out how to do code signing. Let me know if this works!

Hey everyone!! Its update time! So at long last, Heather's arc has been whipped into shape! We still have the last Main Scene to write, and some other small interactions, but then we're hitting version 1.0 and releasing the game!! Still don't have a specific date for that, but I promise that we will figure it out This Month and announce it!!! In other news, the port to godot 4 is going well. Music is playing across scene changes, a settings menu can be called up by pressing esc. Scene changes are smooth for the most part, including navigating the world and loading character scenes. Several shaders have been re-created from scratch and are working well. We even have a custom art for the cursor. Feeling very hopeful about the port and the possibilities it will allow. There are a LOT of changes that need to be made to adapt to the new structure of the engine, and there are a few things we havn't touched yet that might be difficult. Reading and writing save files, for example. The furniture decoration system. The cafe minigame. The main menu tscn has somehow been made completely incompatible with the new engine and I have no idea why, but it should be easy enough to rebuild. And other random shit. And when we get all that taken care of... We can start on Controller Support. Thank you all for your support! Enjoy the build!
