Developer Notes
Harem Waifu Wars: Their World is Ruined. You are Their Only Salvation.
Hello, my friend. I am Haremarchos, a solo developer. There are no investors, big budgets, or marketing teams behind my back. Everything you see in this game — from the very first line of code and card logic to the visual style and scene composition — was created by me alone, sitting at my computer late into the night. Ofc I using AI tools because I don't have money to hire people. This is my dream project, and I pour my heart into it.
I absolutely love games, alluring forms, anime, and gorgeous waifus. So I created a world where you can escape the gray reality and dive into pure fantasy.
Changelog
**v0.02
Improvements / Updates**:
Added a training mode with the ability to skip.
Improved training mode: created a frame and pointer for the training mode, wrote instructions.
Added text and visual display of the card's class.
Added text indicating whether the card is melee or ranged.
Improved and replaced fonts and font shades on card prefabs.
Added game icon.
Replaced the background image for card names.
Added 3 girls from the upcoming space faction (5 full sprites for each). (Currently, they can only appear in random battles.)
Added 6 new monsters specifically for the training mode.
Added background for the training mode.
Added a dynamic damage system: battle stats display system. Now any changes to card health (damage or healing from any abilities) are automatically and instantly displayed on screen as beautiful flying numbers that smoothly fade out.
Created and replaced covers for starter cards.
Created covers for space cards.
Audio:
Added 2 new tracks for the desert faction during battles.
Added 3 new tracks for the training mode (in the future they will be used for cards that do not belong to the main factions).
Added hit sound.
Added sound of tearing clothes.
Added sigh sound at 0 HP.
Added 4 sound effects for abilities (one for each).
Studied how to diversify sound effects, namely:
Added a dynamic pitch-shifting system to the code for interface sounds (hovering over cards/buttons) and combat hits/abilities. Now sound effects sound more varied and don't get repetitive.
Balance Changes:
- Adjusted damage and HP balance (the main change is increasing damage for buffers and healers to 3 units, and minimum HP became 25 units. Melee buffers/healers have 30 HP so they don't feel completely useless). Because of this, all other DD cards were rebalanced: ranged ones mostly deal 5 damage with 25 HP, while melee ones have more damage or HP, for example 6/25 or 5/30.
Fixes:
Fixed card distribution in the hand (so they no longer fly off the edges).
Fixed and enabled skills for desert faction cards (now obtained cards have abilities).
During testing:
- I found and fixed an exploit where, while playing a card, the player could press "Next Turn" and quickly hold another card, allowing them to play all cards in one turn (hopefully no one noticed this before :3).
