FAQ:

Will there be incest?

No. No pseudo-incest either.

Will there be a harem ending?

No.

Will there be a throuple path?

Yes, the throuple will be with Lorelei and Glade.
You have to be on a specific path to obtain the throuple path, and as such, it's hard to obtain if you're playing without the WT.
The LIs will not interact with one another in a sexual manner on the throuple path, as they have no interest in one another. So no lesbian content.

Will there be NTR?

No - No Netori, Netorare or Netorase. Tides of Succession is also a protagonist-centric AVN, meaning the only male character who will be involved in lewd scenes is the MC.

Is Pregnancy and Impregnation content avoidable?

Family is a core aspect of every single ending in Tides. As such, impregnation is not avoidable. Pregnancy content (ie, sex with a pregnant woman) will occur, but is skippable, meaning it'll happen in the story, but you don't have to see it.

Why do you have weak tags?

I play and enjoy many different AVNs with many different tags. It just happens to be that I tend to enjoy AVNs with vanilla kinks and a focus on romance the most. The tags of Tides of Succession reflects my preferences.

Why does this AVN have the interracial tag?

Kasula, one of the Love Interests, belongs to the race called Ro’l in-game (they look like pale elves). Thus the tag.

Why does this AVN have the monster girl tag?

One of the Love Interests, Kasula, is a R'ol (they look like elves). According to the rules, this constitutes the monster girl tag.

How many Love Interests will there be?

There are 3 main LIs - Lorelei, Kasula and Glade. Each LI will have two dedicated monogamous ending.

How many Side Girls will there be?

None. This means there will be no sexual content between the MC and anyone who’s not a Love Interest.
Another thing to note is Tides of Succession is the first of a trilogy of AVNs I have planned. Some non-LI characters who appear in Tides of Succession may appear later in the trilogy as a Love Interest.

How long will each update take to develop?

Quite frankly, I cannot give you a timeframe. The amount of branching has a massive impact on how long it takes to develop each update and chapters have a varying amount of branching.
I like to keep my supporters updated on my progress. There's a channel in my Discord Server where I post very short daily progress reports. I also upload a development log every two weeks on my Patreon page. Those development logs are not locked behind a pay wall, so everyone can access them.

Is there an official walk-through?

Yes, although it's not the most aesthetically pleasing thing out there. It's linked under "Extras" on this page.

How impactful is the branching?

As of Chapter 3, you can see 20-35% of the content in one play-through.
There will be two types of choices - flavour choices and impactful choices. Flavour choices won’t change much other than the immediate dialogue while at the very least, impactful choices will at least change which scenes you see as the reader. Some of the consequences for the impactful choices will take some time to show.
Out of the impactful choices, I can categorise them further into choices influencing the plot, and choices influencing a Love Interests relationship with the MC. Choices influencing the LIs will be fairly obvious and will impact whether or not you’ll be able to romance the Love Interest. There is a correct choice in those scenarios. However, if a choice influences the plot, then there is no one correct choice, but rather two equally viable choices. These choices won't stop you from romancing a certain LI, but they will alter how the plot plays out.
